Okies, it's about time to pay homage to my all-time favourite brand: ~ Dior ~!
Gathered all the past Limited Edition makeup palettes that I've collected upon news of their release.
(not a lot as I'm still quite a new follower but I'm a die-hard fan already so there'll be more posts in future!!)

Just a random check out of Prada's bags of older designs and was impressed by how quality designs in nylon can beat so-called leather "designer pieces" of other luxury brands, which cost a bomb yet do not last as long...or show signs of wear too much, too soon.

Coach: Poppy & Madison Collection

Won over by the recent coverage of the Coach Poppy series in magazines, I checked out a few products of the Poppy & Madison collection.

I feel that Coach has had a 'makeover' with all the new lines it had come up with during recent years.

Especially the Poppy series, it targets a younger, more vibrant crowd with it's bold, daring, and sometimes loud designs & colours. It is definitely a far cry from its signature line when it first hit rapport with the local market.

With the Poppy series, I admit I was won over.

But not yet a convert.

... Well, guess it's Never to say NEVER!

Dior: Minaudière eyeshadow & lip gloss palette

For Winter 2010, Dior is releasing a limited edition palette in a lovely Minaudière case consisting of 3 eyeshadows & 2 lip gloss, retailing at $100 at all Dior cosmetic counters.

Minaudière means "small handbag" in French and as the name suggests, the case is about palm-size and the glossy black body with the Dior gold plate gives the entire piece a luxurious feel, fit for carrying as an evening clutch! The case also snaps shut with magnetic closure, which leaves room in the interior for the colour palette with a fuss-free look. A point worth mentioning is the thoughful design of a cover for the lip gloss (so that the loose powder from the eyeshadows will not "contaminate" the lip gloss).

The Minaudière comes in 2 colour selections:

001: Ors Gris (Grey Golds)

with 3 eyeshadow shades: Charcoal, Grey, Ivory

and 2 lip gloss shades: Plum & White

002: Ors Roses (Pink Golds)

with 3 eyeshadow shades: Prune, Grey, Pale pink

and 2 lip gloss shades: Dark pink & Pastel pink

Though a bit pricy, this Minaudière palette is definitely a must-buy item for Dior fans this season!

 

L'ORÉAL: La Bella Vita compact case

Passed by Watsons' and saw the new "true match Super-Blended Two-Way Powder Foundation" by L'ORÉAL.





Named "La Bella Vita", the compact case has a beautiful picture of a chic mademoiselle, flipping through the papers in a relaxing manner on a sunny afternoon, with a pink poodle against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.

This is a Limited Edition case with Swarovski crystals (on mademoiselle's shoes & bag). Retailing at $33.90, the set consists of a compact case and 2 refills. A great value set not to be missed!
